Getting Started with Activate Your Commute
The Activate Your Commute online tool allows commuters like YOU to set personal goals and keep track of your walking and/or cycling trips. The tool converts the distance travelled on your trips to greenhouse gas emissions reduced and calories burned.
To help you get started, please take a moment and complete steps 1-3.
Step 1: How do I create an account?
a) To create an account on the Activate Your Commute online tool, simply click here.
b) Complete the two registration pages and click on the "I Accept These Terms" button. A registration confirmation message will appear.
c) An email about your account details will be sent to the email address you have provided.
Step 2: How do I enter and edit my Personal Goal?
a) Click here to log into your online account.
b) When logging into your account for the first time after you have completed the registration process, you will be prompted to select an active mode of trasportation, as well as a daily "Personal Goal" in kilometres or steps that you wish to achieve.
c) Simply type in your goal in kilometres (km) or steps and click the "Submit" button.
d) At anytime after this, you can edit your personal goal from your main "Commute Log" page. Click the "Edit Your Goal" button and follow the same process.
Step 3: How do I log my daily walking and/or cycling trips online?
a) Click here to log into your online account. Enter your email and password, and then click on the "Login" button.
b) In the "Enter Your Progress Here" section, click "Select a Week" and choose a week to start logging your trips.
c) A progress chart for the selected week will appear. Enter your distance travelled (km) or steps taken and click the "Submit" button. A message will appear on top of the page to confirm that the information you entered is correct.
If your information is correct, click on "yes, submit" and your data will be displayed in the "View Your Monthly Progress" chart on the "Commute Log" page.
If your information is incorrect, please edit the information in the table and click on the "Submit" button.
